Netgear is a name that is synonymous with quality networking devices and peripherals, where the company has recently unveiled the new NETGEAR Stora – a new, easy-to-use network attached storage (NAS) device that will target home media. The NETGEAR Stora will allow consumers to centralize photos, music, movies and files easily, allowing them to be used in virtually any compatible device that is connected to the network. The Stora will ship with a smooth user interface to get even non-technical users started right out of the box, where one can easily share their photos and videos with friends and family without having to go through a time-consuming process that involves resizing and uploading photos to various Internet sites, or even transferring them via email.

As the second week of September draws to a close, and it was another exciting one, here’s a chance to read some of the news stories which were lost beneath the avalanche of new mobile phones announced or rumoured over the last seven days. 1. New Samsung 360 Coming to Vodafone? Little is known about this Samsung mobile, other than it’s expected to have an OLED screen, an 8 megapixel camera and a Linux OS, but there is speculation concerning a Vodafone event possibly being held on the 24th September, where this and a service named Vodafone People could be announced. We’ll have to wait and see! 2

Cisco is a well known name when it comes to networking devices and this time they have announced a new Linux-powered router known as the Linksys by Cisco Wireless-N Broadband Router with Storage Link (WRT160NL). This new model is actually the next generation WRT54GL that complements the existing Linksys by Cisco consumer router line-up. When you take a look at it, it actually closely resembles other Linksys by Cisco N-routers, although it does come with built-in connectors for external antennae.
