Apple fires up tablet rumours with talk of September event

Apple has scheduled a keynote event for September, providing new grist to the Apple tablet rumour mill. Gizmodo says there will be two versions of the tablet, both with ten-inch OLED screens, and that they will look like a “giant iPhone, with a big black back.” One will be aimed at the educational market and the second will have a webcam, the website reports, and they’ll cost between $700 and $900. Bletchley Park, the secretive mansion that housed the Britain’s Second World War code-breaking effort, has a lot to celebrate. As well as shortening the war by cracking the Enigma code, it nurtured the brilliant mind of Alan Turing – the leading cryptanalyst, inventor of the Turing Test (without which we may not have Blade Runner ) and father of modern computer science (without which many of us may have been unemployed)
